A Compass for World Chiropractic<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) represents the voice of the Chiropractic profession worldwide, with affiliated national associations in more than 90 countries. As a nongovernmental organization in official relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO), the WFC plays a key role in promoting high standards of research, education and clinical practice.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2019, the Federation published a document of 20 Guiding Principles that define the identity, values, and vision of Chiropractic as a global health profession. These principles are an essential reference for all national associations, including the Italian Chiropractic Association (AIC), and outline the path toward an increasingly integrated and evidence-based future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 20 Principles<\/b><\/h2>\n

  • Universal access vision<\/b> - We imagine a world in which all people, of all ages, in all countries, can access the benefits of Chiropractic care.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Mission of integration<\/b> - We are guided by our mission to promote awareness, use and integration of Chiropractic internationally.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Science and research<\/b> \u2013 <\/span>We advocate that clinical and policy decisions should be based on scientific evidence and up-to-date research so as to promote wider access to chiropractic treatments<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Health Promotion<\/b> - We argue that Chiropractic goes beyond patient care, extending to promoting better health and well-being in our communities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                          • An EPIC Future for Chiropractic.<\/b> - We are committed to a growth model based on the four EPIC pillars: <\/span>E<\/b>scientific vidence, centrality of <\/span>P<\/b>ersons, approach <\/span>I<\/b>nterprofessional and <\/span>C<\/b>ollaboration constantly.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                            What do these principles mean for Italy<\/b><\/h2>\n

                                            The Italian Chiropractic Association (AIC) fully endorses these principles and uses them as a constant guide in its work. In a context such as Italy, where Chiropractic is recognized as a health discipline but still awaits a comprehensive regulatory framework for practitioners, the WFC's 20 Principles offer a valuable reference.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                            In particular, we believe that evidence-based clinical practice, interprofessional collaboration and high educational standards represent the foundation on which to build recognition of the profession in our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                            The twentieth principle, with the acronym EPIC, perfectly summarizes the direction in which worldwide Chiropractic is moving: an evidence-based approach focused on personal well-being and care and interdisciplinary collaboration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

                                            This is the vision that the\u2019<\/span>AIC<\/b> transforms every day into reality: an ongoing commitment to <\/span>affirm the value<\/b> of Chiropractic in Italy and ensure patients' right to excellent care.<\/span><\/h2>\n
